SLEAP is celebrating 25 years of being a charity. The work began in 1992 but it was in 1995 that SLEAP became a charity.
You can read all about it in Who we are. Although we have always been a reasonably small charity in size, we have now helped well over 1,000 people in South Ribble, Chorley, Preston and West Lancs. We had planned different ways to mark this year, including a big celebration in May, a tent at the Leyland Festival, e new website and a few other initiatives. However, COVID-19 and the crisis it created meant that most of these had to be cancelled or put on hold. Well, we still got the website! But the year is not over yet so watch this space for news on when and what we will do to celebrate 25 years of SLEAP.
