What we do

We support 16-25 year olds in South Ribble, Chorley, Preston and West Lancs. We provide them with somewhere safe to live and give them the support and help they need to move on as confident and independent young adults.

How we work

Having been set up by local people who wanted to do something about a local problem, SLEAP is all about the community getting involved. The accommodation we provide is in the homes of individuals and families. There are many opportunities to volunteer and get involved with SLEAP. We want to bring together those who need help with those in the community who want to help.

Robert was 17 years old when he came onto supported lodgings. Robert previously lived with his mum and dad but had to leave his home due to a family breakdown. Before Robert moved into his new home on supported lodgings, he met up with a host family and support worker from SLEAP. This gave Robert the opportunity to meet the people he would be living with and ask any questions or talk through any worries he might have.
